Inisheer (Inis Óirr)

The smallest of the three Aran Islands

The smallest of the three islands at just 3km by 3km delivers a distinctive charm as well the most fantastic views of the Cliffs of Moher.

The main village which you will sail into is right beside an unspoilt white sandy beach, and keeping watch over the island inhabitants from the small hill that encloses the village is the ruin of O'Briens castle and fort.

This tiny island and its close knit community of native Irish speakers who are heavily engaged in fishing in the waters of teh wild Atlantic offer a glimpse into the culture and heritage of the Aran Islands in the most natural of settings.
