Inishbofin

Island of the White Cow

 
Inishbofin or in Irish Inis Bo Finne (Island of the White Cow) lies seven miles off the coast of County Galway’s. 
 
To get to the island you must take the ferry from Cleggan pier which is just 11km northwest from the capitla of Connemara, Clifden. From here you can catch the ferry leaves Cleggan three times a day during peak times and twice a day during the off peak times.

  • Nature & Landscape - the island is the perfect spot for a spot of birdwatching, getting to see the islands seal colony, and enjoy the islands natural features of sea cliffs, sea stacks and blow holes
  • Activities - available to hire are byclyes to enhoy the island at your own pace or test your sea legs with a spot of angling or take a RIB charter trip.
