More About Peacockes Hotel
Peacockes is a charming family run hotel located in the heart of Connemara.
Replica Quiet Man Cottage
The famous Quiet Man Bridge is located just before the town of Oughterard, (less the 10 minutes from Peacockes). The still-intact bridge was where Wayne's character sat and heard about the White O'Moran Cottage. In the film the cottage has been neglected, and Quiet Man fans have removed stones as memories. However, there is a replica of the cottage right beside Peacockes Hotel.
Our onsite 3,600 sq ft retail space where we are proud supporters of all things Irish and stockists of Connemara Marble Souvenirs and Jewellery, Avoca, Aran Knitwear, Irish Linen, Irish Handmade Glass, Heritage Crystal, Guinness souvenirs and lots more.
While visiting Peacockes, a trip to the top of the viewing tower is a must-see.
Completely free, all you need is enough wind to climb all 94 steps!
At the end of your climb, you'll be rewarded with a panormic view of Connemara.
Who knows, you might even find inspiration for further travels...
